What do I need to have to use EyeSpy247?

You will need an active broadband service with a router and, of course, an IP Camera.

You may also need a Windows PC/laptop handy just to perform the initial set up, after which you can use the IP camera just about anywhere in your property without it needing to be connected to a computer.

What IP Cameras can I use?

Our own range of cameras offer built-in access to our online platform making them easy to set up and, best of all, come with 1 Year's remote monitoring, recording, storage and alerts services FREE!

However, if you've got any of the following cameras you can also hook them up to our platform:

  • Axis (with firmware 4.30 and above)
  • Panasonic (all in the BL-C series)
  • Y-cam (all models)
  • Linksys WVC54GCA

What's so special about EyeSpy247 cameras?

They've been designed specifically as plug-n-play. Unlike other IP cameras, we've done away with the need to mess around with fiddly DDNS, email and other settings. The auto-configuration system built into our cameras can set them up and keep them synced to your online account with just one click!

What's more, our cameras can be accessed from Windows, Mac or Linux computers and most mobiles.

Are my personal details, images and videos secure?

Our systems are locked down with a mixture of industry standard SSL and home grown security protocols, using our experience of over 12 years Internet services provision. We also know and appreciate your concerns about your stored data; you can download and/or delete the images and video on your account at any time. So, you are always in control of your media.

Moreover, all personal information is handled in accordance with UK data laws and we are members of the Data Protection Register (registration number Z1756049). This can be verified at http://www.ico.gov.uk

How long are images and videos stored for?

That's up to you. Unlike most other remote recording services we don't time limit how long you can archive your images and video.

How much online disk space will I need?

That depends on how many images and videos you want to record and store. Remember, you can manage your space as needed by downloading and deleting images and video anytime, so you don't need to buy lots of storage.

Do I have to use the online platform with an EyeSpy247 camera?

Not at all. You can set up and use any of our cameras stand alone if you want to use them with your own IP address or DDNS. The flexibility and choice is yours.

But, of course, using our platform does make things a whole lot easier not just for viewing Live video but for making best use of your camera for remote security recordings and alerts.

Can I access images and video from any mobile?

Certainly from most Internet enabled mobile phones. What's more, there's no need to install or use any special software either, you just need a web browser.

Can I replace my alarm system with EyeSpy247?

Our service is designed to add a visual layer to an alarm system, if you have one. Indeed, if you don't then EyeSpy247 provides an affordable way to get the peace of mind of a personal, remote surveillance system.

Can I view Live as well as recorded video?

You get real-time Live video access as standard with all our cameras which you can view using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and many other browsers.
